Interview Questions for a Sales and Marketing Analyst


Analysis:

Please describe a project or problem you were working on which required you to integrate a considerable amount of information or data. What system/computer program did you use? How did you evaluate what was important in the information extracted? What was the outcome.?

Innovation:

Can you give me an example of a report or analytical tool that you implemented that assisted the sales/marketing team to measure their KPI's. What did you do? How did this assist the sales/marketing team with their strategy, and the implementation of that strategy?

Problem Solving Ability:

Can you give an example of a project involved with market research which required you to integrate and analyse information from a large number of sources. How did you do it. What was the outcome?

Action:

When have you identified competitive opportunities or threats and alerted management to take necessary action.

External Awareness:

How have you kept abreast of external factors that might affect the organisation? Please give examples of how you have used/shared the knowledge gained?
