Health Economics Associate

Job Description

  1. Collaborate with the Medical Information Manager to develop a comprehensive database of major reference material including: major clinical published studies, epidemiological literature, economic evaluations, and methodological studies that are relevant to the company’s therapeutic areas.
  2. Assist the Health Economics Manager with the preparation of economic analyses and cost-effectiveness submissions to regulatory authorities and hospital authorities.
  3. Work with the Health Economics Manager to identify key opinion leaders in nominated therapeutic areas and arrange advisory group meetings. These meetings will include discussions on current clinical practice and treatment algorithms, definitions of clinical endpoints, determination of minimum efficacy required clinically and the major issues facing each area.
  4. Construct disease management models for health economic analyses by identifying existing databases of resource consumption and costs; identifying cost-drivers as well as subgroups of the patient population with significant costs; looking at competitors; exploring paramedical treatment patterns eg physiotherapy, home nursing; defining patient success outcomes and identifying critical data gaps for survey/collection and preparing protocols and survey questionnaires to address these gaps.
